Once past Thornton, the area seems to improve quickly. The stores and buildings here are well maintained and some effort has gone into ensuring that there is a mix of green among the town. Like many actual suburbs, the town center contains most of the governmental buildings with shopping centers spread out around it. Most of the buildings appear to be landscaped and tree lined drives leave the town heading out into the more residential and remoter commercial sections.
The mountains are close by to the the west, overshadowing the town somewhat, though small neighborhoods and subdivisions can be seen as spots amongst the greenry, surrounding the town. Clearly this is a more affluent suburb of Denver, where many young professionals live and play.
